Concerts in Osijek
After a challenging period behind us, we have only good news from Osijek for the summer of 2021. The people of Osijek and their guests can expect a dense schedule filled with cultural, entertainment, and sports content. Apart from well-known events, such as the Osijek Summer of Culture, the Osijek Summer Nights or the Pannonian Challenge, we are starting this summer with a new musical treat. The treat is called "Concerts in Osijek", backed by the City of Osijek, the Cultural Center and the Tourist Board of the City of Osijek.
"New energy is circulating in the city. As epidemiological measures weaken and temperatures rise, so does Osijek turn to its citizens and tourists. This city must be the cultural center of this entire region and we will do everything to make it so", said Osijek Mayor Ivan Radic. Goran Bare and Majke, Brkovi, Silente, Urban, Hladno pivo, Gibonni and others will make sure that Osijek's a desirable cultural and musical destination. During June and July, as many as 12 concerts await us, which will be held at three locations: Vatroslav Lisinski Square, the courtyard of the Old Bakery and Nova Rupa.
"All concerts will be realized in a quality and top production way, both commercially and with the support of the Ministry of Culture. We are bringing a list of bands, and in addition to big sound names, there will be a series of smaller concerts of younger bands with which we want to reactivate the music scene in the city ", says Ivan Kristijan Majić, director of the Cultural Center. The concerts that will take place on Vatroslav Lisinski Square and in the courtyard of the Old Bakery will be affordable, while the concerts in Nova Rupa will be free, and concerts for the second part of the summer are already being arranged.
"With its traditional and new summer events, Osijek is consolidating its role as a cultural and urban center, but it is also profiling itself as an interesting continental tourist destination with a rich and diverse offer.
